S.T.A.R Puppy Class - 6 Week Group Class

Service Description

S.T.A.R Puppy Class is designed specifically to give young puppies and their new owners the best start possible. This course is the perfect beginner course for puppies up to six months of age. Each week's lesson is crafted to focus on the four puppy fundamentals: Socialization Training & Obedience Activity/Exercise Responsible Dog Ownership This is an in-person group class. Owners and their puppies will meet with our trainer and behavior specialist Anna Henderson, at our training facility in Belgrade, Maine. The class meets for one hour every week for six weeks. This course is recurring every six weeks. Puppies will graduate after the six weeks and will receive a certificate of completion. REQUIREMENTS: 1. Puppies must have proof of vaccination from a Licensed Veterinarian. Vaccines: - DISTEMPER COMBO VACCINATION IS MANDATORY. - Bordetella (Kennel Cough) is RECOMMENDED. 2. This class highlights social skills between puppies, therefore, all puppies MUST show proof of parasite prevention as directed by a Licensed Veterinarian. - FLEA & TICK PREVENTION - INTESTINAL PARASITE PREVENTION 3. Puppies showing any signs such as sneezing, runny nose, coughing, retching, diarrhea, or those experiencing intestinal parasites or skin infections may not attend class until cleared by a Licensed Veterinarian for social interaction. 4. This is an indoor/outdoor group class. MASKS ARE REQUIRED WHILE INDOORS REGARDLESS OF VACCINATION STATUS. Class sizes are kept to a small group (four or less) to ensure each puppy and owner have the most enriching experience and ample time with the instructor, along with abiding by CDC Covid Prevention Protocols for safety and space precautions. 5. In the instance an owner and puppy are to miss a class, the class cannot be made up and is forfeited. In the instance multiple classes are going to be missed, rescheduling to a later course offering will be suggested. 6. Homework is assigned every week and is essential to succeeding in the class. 7. KIBBLE and/or TRAINING TREATS ARE REQUIRED. This is a beginner class for puppies with positive reinforcement at its foundation. Food rewards will be used in every class. 8. CANCELATION POLICY: 48 hour notice is required if the entire course is being cancelled. Due to high demand and limited class sizes, without 48 hours notice, owners will be charged for the entire class.

Cancellation Policy

To cancel or reschedule, please give Manie Canine Company, LLC at least 24 hours notice. Due to high demand, failure to do so will result in a $50 charge. Cancelations or rescheduling 24 hours in advance will result in no extra charge.
